What are your hours?
How long are your sessions?
Do you take insurance?
I currently take Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, BCBS, Oscar, and Oxford.
I work with a company called Headway for insurance billing. I will send you a link to set up a free profile.
How do I set up an appointment?
What is your cancellation policy?
Unless there is an emergency, I charge a $75 fee if the cancellation isn’t made with at least 24 hours’ notice.
With whom do you work?
I typically work best with those 13-60. I have less experience with those outside of those age ranges.
I prefer to work with individuals, but I’ll work with couples from time to time (it’s just not my specialty).
What do you actually do in sessions with clients?
Will I receive homework assignments between sessions?
What modalities do you use?
What's your professional training and experience?
What else do I need to know to make the most out of working with you?
Be honest, be patient, take notes, work hard, set goals, and bring up issues if you aren’t making progress.
Everyone has their desire for the therapist to know secrets and to be able to read their thoughts and solve all the problems. I have had this expectation of myself, but I know that it is not realistic. Going to therapy is sort of like going to the gym – the trainer guides you to learn what to do, and then you have to do it.
How many sessions will it take for me to make progress?
What do you do for fun?
What are some other interesting facts about you?
I like for my life to be a little bit different and quirky. I have two daughters and four stepchildren. In other words, I like chaos. It’s challenging and very difficult, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. And it helps me understand other people. My children range from three months to 14 years old, which means I have experience with all ages.
I like getting to know other cultures as well. I have traveled to 40 countries, speak two languages fluently, and love eating every type of weird food I can put in my mouth.
Tell me a little bit more about your personality.
I am an introvert. I have always been quirky and somewhat of a dork. I’ve always had few friendships, although I became more social later in life. I’ve always liked science-fiction, movies like Spiderman and Lord of the Rings. I love Marvel movies. I like a few sports, but I also enjoy cooking and being creative. I also have a YouTube channel with 21K subscribers. But that’s another story.
